Public Event- What To Expect

No experience necessary!

Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Choose a pre-handmade bisque-fired pottery piece and have a seat at our glazing tables.

Our staff will walk you through the glazing process.

Stickers and tape are provided to help with your design, but you are welcome to bring your own stickers.

After you glaze your piece, you can watch the firing process from outside our firing area.

Please allow up to 2 hours for this event.

Flower pots and ring dishes can be pre-registered. If there is space in the kiln there will be bowls and ring dishes available as walk-in or add-on items. Check with us at the registration table to see if there is extra space.

Feel free to use the chat on the website to ask any questions. We will get back to you as soon as we can.

You will be asked to sign a liability release at check-in.

Because this event involves fire, we take safety very seriously. If you do not follow instructions and stay out of the firing area, you will be asked to leave without a refund.

There are no refunds the week before your event. You are welcome to gift them to a friend. Just send us a message and let us know, and we will make the necessary changes at check-in.

Raku pieces are NOT FOOD SAFE and DO NOT HOLD WATER! They are perfect for flower pots, pencil holders, or as display pieces.

Book Your At-Home Party!

What's included:

  • Handmade bisque pottery pieces for you to glaze and personalize. Bowls or ring dishes.
  • All materials for glazing your chosen piece. (glaze, brushes, sponges, tape, and stickers for design, sponges and water to clean up your piece after the firing)
  • We bring the kiln and all the necessary materials for us to fire your piece.

What you need to provide for your party:

  • Tables and chairs for you to sit and glaze, chairs to sit in to watch the firing.
  • A 15' x 15' space in your driveway or yard for the kiln setup and a parking space for us.
  • Any refreshments you would like to have during your glazing time.

Pricing:


2 Hours: $450
Includes our travel time and set-up, 50 minutes to glaze your piece, one firing that includes 7 pieces that takes about 45 minutes to an hour. You can mix and match bowls and ring dishes.


Add-On 2 Hours: $250
Includes an additional 7 pieces. You can glaze these during the initial glazing time or after the first firing.
